Emergency Eye Care

We administer emergency eye care in Laurel and Gaithersburg, MD at the office of Jeffrey Y.H. Chung, M.D. We offer services for urgent and emergency eye care. These services are provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week by a licensed eye doctor. Symptoms requiring immediate attention include, but are not limited to, seeing flashes of light, sudden vision loss, extreme pain and/or redness of the eyes with or without discharge, and unusual light sensitivity.

An eye emergency is any event in which eyesight is at risk. Events that risk eyesight require immediate treatment to prevent vision loss. Eye emergencies are common, and you should call us at any time if you feel you are in danger. Some symptoms that would warrant an eye emergency include chemical contact with eye or face, severe eye, head, or face injury, sudden loss of all or part of your vision, or a bulging or painful eye.
